The organizing committee invites you to participate in the 2012 International Congress on Natural Products Research. This is the joint meeting hosted by the American Society of Pharmacognosy (ASP) and our sister societies from Europe: the Society for Medicinal Plant Research (GA), the Italian Society of Phytochemistry (SIF), the Phytochemical Society of Europe (PSE) and the French Speaking Society of Pharmacognosy (AFERP). The venue for this exciting meeting is the Grand Hyatt New York, located in the vibrant center of Manhattan in New York City, close to many of the attractions that have made New York a world famous destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This international conference will present a program that dedicates the morning sessions for plenary presentations and afternoons that will be divided into parallel oral and\/or poster sessions. Our evening social event will include a unique personalized tour at the New York Botanical Garden. Themed contributed sessions are planned on traditional areas of interests to our members that include natural products discovery from marine, microbial, and plant origins, and metabolism, biosynthesis, analytical technologies, and genomics. A Young Investigators Program will feature accomplishments of our younger scientists that will be structured as an interactive forum. On Saturday, workshop sessions on NMR Structure Elucidation and CD Methodology as applied to natural products research will be offered. Of special interest, a public outreach program will be given under the auspices of the New York Botanical Garden entitled \u201cFrom the Forest to the Pharmacy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Finally, since New York is \u201cthe city that never sleeps,\u201d we are certain that the intense nature of the program running into the early evening will not detain our conferees from experiencing the city\u2019s shopping, culinary and cultural highlights. We look forward to hosting the ICNPR in 2012 and welcome the world of natural products research to New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
